The show will be on in Lausanne this summer

Olympic Champion Belinda Bencic (WTA 14) will play at home against a very strong field led by world No. 9 Danielle Collins from July 11 to 17, 2022. Belinda Bencic will be playing on the clay court of the Ladies Open Lausanne for the very first time. The 25-year-old from St. Gallen is excited: “I’m really looking forward to coming to Lausanne. It’s a great return to Switzerland for me, I enjoy playing in front of the Swiss spectators, my friends and my family more than ever. I’m really looking forward to it”.

American Danielle Collins will be a tough opponent. She reached the final of the Australian Open this year. The show promises to be exciting at the Tennis Club Stade-Lausanne.

The complete draw will be announced the week of June 13, 2022.

Timea Bacsinszky, ambassador of the tournament

Having reached the semifinals twice at Roland-Garros and won four titles on the WTA Tour, Timea Bacsinszky decided to put away her racket a year ago. The Tournament is privileged to work with her for the development of the tournament and the promotion of women’s tennis in Lausanne.
