Swiss No. 1 Belinda Bencic returns to the Ladies Open in Lausanne from 24 to 30 July 2023!

The show will be on this summer in Lausanne

After a successful year in 2022, the Ladies Open Lausanne is back for a 4th edition. The WTA 250 tournament will once again welcome the elite of women’s tennis from around the world. Olympic champion Belinda Bencic (WTA 11) will once again be treading the clay courts of the Tennis Club Stade Lausanne. Last year’s quarter-finalist, beaten by the tournament’s eventual winner Petra Martic from Croatia, Belinda will be aiming to win her first title on Swiss soil.

The full list of players will be unveiled the week of 24 June 2023.

Timea Bacsinszky, ambassador of the Tournament

Having twice reached the semi-finals at Roland Garros and won four WTA Tour titles, Timea Bacsinszky decided to put away her racket two years ago. Once again this year, the tournament has the privilege of working with her on the development of the tournament, player relations and the promotion of women’s tennis in Lausanne. The Timea Bacsinscky Challenge will be one of the initiatives put in place as part of the collaboration between the champion from Lausanne and the tournament. The concept of the challenge is to promote the tournament to junior players from clubs in the canton of Vaud through fun tennis activities. The aim is to reward the top 2 juniors in the ranking with a training session with Timea and a behind-the-scenes tour of the tournament during the Ladies Open, and to offer free entry to the tournament for the other participants.
